Degenerative disc or: Facet disease in the lumbar spine are very common sources of low back pain that can be assessed by MRI scan. Please see more about MRI scans here: http://www.Conciergeradiologist.Com/mri-scan.Html.

SIJ: Disorder of the sacroiliac joint (sij) is known to worsen when the pelvis is stressed by ground force of mattress, unlike other axial spine problems, which are relieved by lying down. In a male your age, participation in extreme sports & significant or repetative falls onto buttock is explanatory. Skateboarding & snowboarding are the worst. See an osteopath to be properly diagnosed.
