Why does face and eye swell & eye go blue after injury to forehead and laceration stitched up by plastic surgeon. wa told this normal & clear in 2week?

Blue face: Blood runs downhill so the is bruising and the swelling is fluid usually blood falling with gravity to the eye and face and absorbed slowly.

Normal: The forehead is directly connected to the upper eyelids and gravity causes the bruising to descent. Nothing to worry about and should disappear in a relatively brief period of time. If you have any other questions or concerns, please ask your surgeon.

Internal bruising.: Bruising may last several days after an injury. I you do not see significant improvement in the next few days, have it evaluated.
