Need to know: What is causing these masses. If there is a suspicion of malignancy on her study needle biopsy of the liver is often necessary. Liver masses alone don't necessarily mean cancer as several benign tumors (hemangiomas, adenomas, focal nodular hyperplasia) can be present. Please discuss this with your doctor.
