Adenomyosis: Adenomyosis can be difficult to diagnose and treat. The diagnosis is usually made by ultrasound or mri. Treatment options include medications (progesterone, birth control pills, and lupron) and, if that fails, surgery. It sounds like your doctor is trying to see if additional progesterone, starting after ovulation, will help.
