You can test now: The urine pregnancy tests that are available over the counter are very good at detecting early pregnancy. They can be accurate when your cycle is late by only a day or two, especially if you usually have regular, monthly menstrual cycles.

Test now: If you have been sexually active and have missed your period then you can go ahead and take a home pregnancy test (HPT) now. If negative and still no period would repeat HPT in a week. Take care.
