Pain center: Patients who need 7 back surgeries usually have residual problems. You need to be evaluated and treated at a pain treatment center. You have a complex problem which can not be solved on line.

Don't take any : Caffeine, avoid watching tv or computers at night and avoid rigorous exercise at night as well. If need an over the counter solution , try some Benadryl (diphenhydramine) since it can cause sedation.

Need evaluation: It would really take a detailed, thorough evaluation to accurately determine the source of your problem and then you would know what your options and likely prognosis. Some people with 7 previous surgeries will still have a fairly simple fix to their problem, such as a large herniation in an area they have not had previous surgery; others will not have great options, such as pain from scarring.
