A member asked:

I have only had 4 alcoholic beverages in my life. with every sip i get a burning tingle in my rectal area. is that normal? is it because i don't drink

not common: The nerves of the digestive system are complex and not well understood. It is possible that there is some connection between alcohol contact in the mouth and rectal sensation. It could also be that your own emotional response to drinking is driving neurological response at the rectum. Perhaps the easy thing to do is stop drinking. Maybe one day we will understand this better.
