A work up: If you have been trying to get pregnant for a year or longer, it is time for your fiancée to see her gyn or a fertility specialist. They will initiate a work up and do tests to try and figure out what is wrong.

There are 4 main reasons why couples have trouble conceiving: ovulatory dysfunction, poor semen quality, abnormalities of the uterus and/or tubes, and aging.
