A work up: If you have been trying to get pregnant for a year or longer, it is time for your fiancée to see her gyn or a fertility specialist. They will initiate a work up and do tests to try and figure out what is wrong.

Several.: There are several treatment options. Which might apply depends on what problems are identified. There are 4 main reasons why couples have trouble conceiving: ovulatory dysfunction, poor semen quality, abnormalities of the uterus and/or tubes, and aging. All can be assessed quickly and easily with tests having negligible risk. Evaluation is needed before best treatment option can be determined.
