Abdominal Hernia: I do not see a question here. But, this is a very common problem. It is an easy surgery to repair. And, if you have any pain there you must be seen urgently for this surgical evaluation.

Hernia: I'm sorry to hear you have a hernia. Hernias however are not all the same. They occur in the diaphragm (hiatal), abdominal wall (belly button, previous incisions), and in the groin (inguinal hernia). Not all hernias need to be repaired, and the repair is radically different among hernia types. If you have a large hiatal hernia (paraesophageal), see a general or thoracic surgeon for a consultation
