Doubtful: Have your child checked by an orthopedist to see if he has scoliosis. He may need a brace rather than a chair.

See below: Back bracing for scoliosis is usually done if the curve is greater than 20 degrees . I would seek a orthopaedic spine surgeon that specializes in pediatrics for recommendations . There are too many factors involves to give you in a brief text message
