Good program + more: We use Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) treatment for sjogren's but we need to have your sjogren's totally evaluated to see if additonal therapy is indicated. People with sjogren's can have additional manifestations such as lung, kidney, eye, parotid gland to name a few. You have to be indiivdualized before we can decide on your total program.

Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) yes: Plaquenil is one of the few drugs that may decrease the autoimmune inflammation that occurs in sjögren's syndrome. However, there are many other drugs/solutions that can be added to help with the dry eyes (restasis, saline eye drops, etc) or dry mouth (salagen, evoxac, (cevimeline) biotene toothpaste). For vaginal dryness during sex, use astroglide. Ask your rheumatologist for help with your symptoms.
