there is a sort of swalling in the right ear of my mother, can you please suggest what may be the problem.?

Clarification needed: Such a vague symptom as "ear swelling" needs clarification. Painful or painless? Red or not? Location of the swelling? Without more details the possibilities range from minor inflammation to tumor.

I see; then it sound more like a problem with the parotid gland (the salivary gland in the cheek area, just in front of the ear). She should see an otolaryngologist, as tumors of the parotid gland are very common. But fortunately they are usually benign.
