Hyperacusis: She has hyperacusis, of which there is cochlear type and vestibular type. In vestibular type certain sounds can cause vertigo and falling. The cochlear type is limited to sound. It may be the result of traumatic brain injury, metabolic diseases, auto immune diseases and others.
