Further evaluation: Sounds like your grandson could benefit from a full developmental evaluation. Many totally normal toddlers do the toy lining up thing, and many normal toddlers are a little late talking. Need to assess his social and peer interactions, eye contact, gross and fine motor skills, etc. Only then can you say that these are just normal variations or warning signs of something more concerning.
