A member asked:

Is creatine bad for bodybuilders to take ? and what does it cause ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Creatine when taken appropriately can help with muscle recovery. It will cause water retention and the biggest risk of taking this is muscle cramping from insufficient hydration. If you are taking this as a supplement you need to make sure you are staying adequately hydrated. Otherwise it has not had any long term notable side effects as it is excreted by your kidneys.
