Go to an ER now: Any kind of chest pain should be taken seriously. The kind of pain you're describing is called "pleuritic" chest pain, and can be caused by a range of things from benign to dangerous. It could be caused by a strain or by a virus...Or, on the other hand, by pneumonia or a blood clot. You should have this evaluated without delay.
