Dryness?: Overactive tears can be either acute or chronic due to number of causes. Commonly symptoms of allergies to the eyes or extreme dryness can be triggers. Aetificial tears can help since these are reflex reaponse from the eyes. Have an opthamalogist tak a look.

2 causes: If eyes water all the time the tear drainage system is blocked, if watering periodic and worse in late afternoon/ evenings then this is from surface drying of the eyes- watering is a reflex to dryness. Lubricating eye drops will stop this reflex and watering.
