Have an eye check-up: First make an appointment to have your eyes checked by an eye md. Squinting can be caused by refractive errors (needing glasses), dry eyes, sun sensitivity, eyelid irritations, allergies. Sometimes a oral medication like tetracycline, accutane, benadryl, (diphenhydramine) antihistamines can increase light sensitivity and induce squinting.
