Good prognosis: In thyroid cancers over all prognosis is excellent.. It is good she has ' no metastasis ' need more information , histological type , when surgery was done , is there any any metastasis at that time, her age etc . Stage of the disease is important to predict prognosis . Most common type is papillary cancer of thyroid , which has very good out come . Good luck.

Thyroid surgery: It depends on the type of cancer and extent of the tumor. The lack of spread is a good thing. She will require periodic thyroid ultrasound in addition to the routine examinations and follow up with her physicians.
