Scoliosis changes: The curve associated with scoliosis can change even after puberty but the changes occur more slowly. Ask your primary care doctor to refer you to a spine surgeon specializing in scoliosis surgery. They will likely start with conservative physical therapy to strengthen you core muscles. Otherwise, there is an increased risk of spondylolisthesis in scoliosis patients so see your spine surgeon for an evaluation and treatment based on the diagnosis. Scoliosis usually does not progress after maturity unless curve greater than 50 degrees or in lower back.
