Being Treated?: This really is not a question but more of a statement about your condition. Are you being treated for your pain? Scoliosis is not necessarily the cause of back pain and it is often seen in aging spine. Back pain is usually a combination of several factors. I am most interested in the pain that goes into the chest. Of course this should be evaluated to be sure it is not from the heart.

May need evaluation: It is a little bit uncommon for scoliosis, even in cases where the curves are large, to cause episodes of severe pain in and of itself. I would strongly recommend you get thoroughly evaluated just to make sure the cause of these episodes of chest pain are accurately diagnosed. Thank you for your question.
