Very possible: There is a high infection rate with cat bites. The consequences can be quite serious. Please seek medical attention for a cat bite.

Infection?: A "hard" cat bite can cause a deep puncture wound. An infection can be caused by unusual bacteria, in addition to Staph and Strep. Tetanus shot, debridement, irrigation w/ saline, and maybe antibiotics are utilized.
