Would i be able to feel problems related to my brainstem? i've had on and of pressure around the area no pain just pressure. breathing bit hard then.

No: Brain tissue is completely insensitive. The only sensations it senses are from other tissues & organs. Other structures in the posterior cranial fossa do have sensation, but the likelihood that that's what you're experiencing is very small; and it should have nothing to do with breathing.
