OCD?: This could be a possible symptom of obsessive compulsive disorder. Regardless of the diagnosis, it is causing you anguish. Recommend a comprehensive psychological assessment with either a psychologist or a psychiatrist. Cognitive behavioral therapy may be very helpful.
