A member asked:

Does genetically modified food cause autism? gmo's were released in the early 90s and since then autism cases increased by 600%. are they safe to eat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I believe it's safe: There's a huge amount of money to be made frightening people, and these folks have no reason to tell the truth (unlike physicians bound by law). Gmo's contain no substance that a reasonable person would worry about being toxic. The increased autism diagnosis rate reflects both awareness and politics (kids with "autism" get more resources.) and there's no a single non-fake scientific paper.
