Get help: Not only for your relationship, but simply for you, i hope you're getting help? Your info shows both insomnia and ptsd, but no treatments. You can get this by working with a psychiatrist and/or psychologist or other psychotherapist. Insomnia is often part of ptsd -- sometimes active fear or resistance to relaxing one's guard enough to fall asleep. Help is available though, and there is hope.

Med eval.: Agree w dr. Pappas. Here is sleep hygiene info. 1. Keep a regular bedtime & wakening time (to include weekends). Get up the same time each day, regardless of what time you fell asleep. 2. Make a regular, relaxing bedtime routine. Relaxing rituals prior to bedtime may include a warm bath or shower, aroma therapy, reading, or listening to gentle music. 3. Sleep in a dark, quiet, cool room on.
