Perfect set up: The lining of our mouth has a fantastic blood supply. Also, unlike our skin, this soft vascular lining has a lot of elasticity and so moves very well. Because it is moist, there are really no good dressings that will stick and cover however cuts in this area probably heal faster than anywhere else on our bodies so no special ointments, dressings, or treatments are needed.

Keep it clean: Preventing bacterial superinfection by swapping the area with just salt water will help tremendously. Avoid alcohol mouthrinse since dried mucosa will retard healing.
