Easy: It would be a stretch to call the procedure of removing eggs from the ovary for fertility treatment a "surgery". Typically the eggs are removed by passing a needle through the vaginal wall into the ovary while the patient is under anesthesia. The end result of the procedure is two small needle puncture sites. This is done under ultrasound guidance so that there are minimal risks.
