Over time: This has been described with cast iron cookware (small absorption) though it is not the best way to replace iron in anemic patients who need larger amounts in a controlled manner.

No: The iron released from a pan used properly in cooking will not enter the food. It is not a reliable source of iron as any that enters the food would be extremely tiny. Take iron pills or iron rich food if your iron is low.
