Hmmm...: There is no cure for cardiovascular disease. This is a lifelong, systemic disease process that never goes away but can be slowed by modifying one's lifestyle and reducing risky behaviors, namely smoking, and controlling high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Some supplements are useful for atherosclerotic disease but i would discuss with your pcp.

Unlikely: Most are a waste! pass through the gut and contribute nothing that a good diet would not achieve. Some vitamins may be a help, but even that is avoidable with good diet planning in my opinion!
