Few: Fortunately, children heal beautifully from broken bones due to their remodeling ability. Diabetes really should not have a great impact on the situation & will not likely influence treatment recommendations.

Depends: It would depend on if surgery is needed or it is treated in a cast. As long as the diabetes is controlled they should be ok.
