Burn in diabetic: Hi. Burns in diabetes can be nasty business. Probably the 3 biggest issues in her healing are: 1) is her diabetes well controlled? (very important for healing), 2) is there an infection? (slows/complicates healing), & 3) how severe was the burn? Her diabetes should be aggressively managed to help wound healing and battle infection. A wound clinic may be necessary and/or helpful. Need antibiotics?
