Clearly: During the first appointment, which we call the initial evaluation or consultation, explain in detail what symptoms you have. In other words, specifically describe what you are experiencing that is causing you problems. Not the reasons, or the consequences, but what ails you. Be clear and complete. Be honest. Don't exaggerate or minimize. Take your time. Find someone who will listen.
