A member asked:

Could someone be blind and not have cloudy eyes or have any physical indication of blindness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sure: There are many different causes of blindness, most of which are not outwardly apparent. Retinal or optic nerve damage, as well as brain injury (e.g., stroke, tumor) can cause blindness and would not be visible without an eye exam or brain imaging.
