Congenital ptosis: (1 of 3) i assume you mean congenital eyelid ptosis (CP) when you mention 'optic ptosis'. Although some congenital cases of CP have been mapped to certain abnormal genes and display autosomal dominant genetics (50% chance of passing to child), the vast majority of cases are sporadic. There are only 2 large studies on the incidence of cp, the risk of a child being born with CP is 1:552 - 1:842.
