Quite variable: Most Prostate Cancer-affected patients live for several years, the average being 3-5 years. But it depends on response to hormonal treatments which can extend life for 2 to 3 years. Chemotherapy can add another 1 or 2 years. Once all the above treatments have been used up, then the survival is shortened to 1 to 2 years.
