It varies. : This can vary from type to type of bone cancer. Ewing's sarcoma has a good prognosis, even with metastasis, as 25-40% can be cured with high dose chemo. And stem cell transplant. Chondrosarcoma has an indolent course and is resistant to chemo., and is treated by surgery. Osteosarcoma metastasizes to the lung and can still have long term survival if these are resected.
