Yeast: Yeast mostly contains thiamine ( b1) , along with other b vitamins.

Brewer's Yeast: Brewer's yeast contains b-complex vitamins including: b1 (thiamine), b2 (riboflavin), b3 (niacin), b5 (pantothenic acid), b6 (pyridoxine), B9 (folic acid), and h or b7 (biotin). http://tinyurl.com/kfvkmn5 it does not contain B12 (cobolamin), which is essential for metabolism, neurological function, and blood formation. Most "b complex" supplements do contain B12 along with the rest.

Depends: Brewers yeast is often saccharomyces cerevisiae. Nutritional yeast is inactivated yeast that has been fortified with synthetic b vitamins. The B12 added is synthetic Cyanocobalamin and not the best form which is methylcobalamin.
