A member asked:

How often could a ct without contrast miss a brain tumor in a child?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That : Would depend on the location/size of the tumor, whether it causes hydrocephalus, and possible associated edema/bleeding/calcification. Many factors. Mri with contrast is the best test should your physician feel that signs or symptoms suggest a brain tumor.
