Almost the same: Electrocardiography is an interpretation of the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time. Used to measure the rate and rhythm of the heart, size an position the heart chambers, presence of damage to the heart etc. It's use as a tool for cardiac monitoring in icu, hospitals and at home too like holter test.
