No "best" medication: People respond to medicine differently. Prozac may work for one person's depression but not anothers. Ssri's (i.e. Zoloft, (sertraline) celexa, lexapro) are a common family of medications that help with both issues. It may take time to find the right medicine that both works and is tolerated well. If one does not work, do not give up hope as a different family of medication could then be tried.
