Not a lot: 15% of smokers (>100 total cigarettes in a lifetime) develop lung cancer. If you smoke 4 cigarettes per day, that is >1200 cigarettes a year! 80% of all lung cancer is caused by smoking. Both direct and secondhand smoking of tobacco (and marijuana) are unsafe. Additionally, numerous other diseases and cancers are related to smoking. Don't smoke and markedly increase your odds.
