Stress test: If you cannot finish a stress test, it may be because those running the test are seeing ekg changes and asking you to stop. Or, you may be deconditioned, or develop chest pain or breathlessness while on the treadmill. Your cardiologist reviews the findings with you, and make recommendations for treatment. Sometimes further testing is needed; sometimes medication; sometimes other procedures.
