A member asked:

Please tell me what can i expect from a stress test and an echocardiogram, with bubbles?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stress test: We have various kinds of stress testing, the commonest involve walking on a treadmill and/or having a medication injected to simulate exercise. An ECG and sometimes echo or nuclear imaging can be part of the stress test. An echo bubble study is painless as is the regular echocardiogram test. The bubble study involves injecting microbubbles during a normal echo imaging study.
