Many causes.: Blood in urine (hematuria) can be caused by many things, ranging from infection to kidney / bladder stones, to medical diseases of the kidney, etc... Another possible cause of blood in urine is bladder tumor. Bladder tumors can be benign or malignant. When blood is found in the urine, it is good to have additional follow up and sometimes additional testing to exclude serious illness.
