A member asked:

I got urinalysis results..and what does blood ua mean? it says trace intact..whats this all mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Urinalysis: The dipstick showed the presence of a trace amount of blood but this could be a contaminant from the vaginal area. Recheck another urine specimen being very careful to avoid contamination by using a clean catch technique. Also request a microscopic analysis which will show any red blood cells present in the urine. If there are no red blood cells, you're ok. Discuss this with your physician
