Post op wisdom: Softer foods that you can chew once or twice and swallow. Avoid small hard items (nuts, chips, rice) that can get trapped in the socket sites. No smoking, no carbonated beverages, nothing thru a straw for at least the first 24-36 hours. Yogurt, instant breakfast drinks, scrambled eggs, pancakes--stuff like that. Take meds as suggested, get plenty of rest.
