TKA: Postop you will be in hospital for a few days, then either go home or to a rehab hospital. Either way you will need several months of pt and home exercises. Pain can be significant at first, but improves steadily over the 1st 3-6 weeks. You will be feeling really good and back to most normal activities by 3 months although full recovery can take 6 months to a year.
