...: Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. It can be caused by the viruses hep a/b/c/d/e. Other causes include alcohol and autoimmune. Viral hepatitis is the leading cause of liver cancer and the most common reason a person would need a liver transplant. There are vaccines for hep a & b but not hep c.
