Minor: Side effects from either hepatitis a or b vaccines tend to be mild. Some people notice a few days of soreness or local redness at the shot site. Much more rarely: tiny fever, feeling tired, a low grade headache, just a sense of feeling unwell, or slight loss of appetite for a day or two. The vaccine has no live virus & thus will not cause hepatitis a.
